10-day Kenya safari and great migration adventure

OVERVIEW

Experience the thrill of a lifetime on a 10-day Kenya safari and Great Migration adventure from August 2-11, 2025. This extraordinary journey takes you through Kenya’s iconic landscapes and wildlife havens, including Nairobi, Amboseli National Park, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, and the world-renowned Masai Mara. Highlights include the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro, close encounters with elephants, hippos, and flamingoes, and witnessing the dramatic wildebeest migration. The adventure concludes with unforgettable game drives in the Masai Mara. The package costs $4,250 USD per person (double occupancy) with a $500 non-refundable deposit.

Deposit:

Deposit: $500 USD non-refundable deposit is due upon sign up. This is sent via bank transfer (bank fees may apply) to my business partner in Uganda or paid by credit card (4% service fee added). 
 
A schedule for the remainder can be worked out on an individual basis.
 
Cancellation Policy. In the event of cancellation:
  • If you cancel your $500 deposit is non-refundable
  • If you cancel within 40 days of the beginning of the trip, 75% of tour price is due.

Travel Itinerary

Upon arrival at the airport, you will have a meet and greet by our company representative who will then transfer you to Nairobi for overnight. Spend rest of the day at leisure.

Overnight at Tamarind Tree Hotel or similar.  Meal Plan:  Bed and Breakfast

This day after your breakfast, you will go for a city tour of Nairobi town. Nairobi offers an abundance of exciting, diverse experiences which will enable you to get a feel for one of Africa’s growing and dynamic cities. Places to visit include the crafts markets, Giraffe center, and Elephant orphanage. Have lunch at a local restaurant then later return to the hotel for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, drive to Amboseli National Park where you will arrive in time for lunch.  In the afternoon, go for your first game drive. The park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants among other wildlife species. The ecosystem is mainly savannah grassland, spread across the Kenya-Tanzania border. Other attractions of the park include opportunities to meet the Masai and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak and the highest free-standing mountain in the world. Even though the majestic Kilimanjaro is located in Tanzania, the best view of it is in Amboseli National Park which is strategically located at the foot of the mountain. From the prehistoric site of Observation Hill, the sunset over Kilimanjaro is magnificent. Overnight at Kibo Safari Camp or similar.    Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

This day, you will have a full day game drive in the park searching for animal resident in the park. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Overnight at Kibo Safari Camp or similar.    Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Drive time is approx. 5 hours
After an early breakfast, you will depart for Lake Naivasha. This lake is famous for its population of hippos and is a birder’s paradise as it is home to over 400 bird species. Giraffes, zebras, impalas and waterbucks can be sighted in the immediate vicinity of the lake. Lunch, dinner and overnight is at the lodge. 
Optional activity: Boat ride on the lake.  Overnight at Sawela Lodge or similar. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Drive time is approx. 1 hour
 
Enjoy an invigorating morning breakfast and proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park. This alkaline Lake is beautifully located in the Rift Valley and offers a stunning view due to the flock of pink flamingoes. It is also home to over 400 bird species including pelicans and flamingoes. Lake Nakuru is also famous for its number of white and black Rhinos that you can easily encounter while on safari. You will arrive in time for lunch which will be followed by an afternoon game drive with the lake in the background. After this immersion in the wild, drive to the selected Camp/lodge for dinner and overnight. Overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge or similar.    Meal Plan: Lunch, Dinner, Breakfast

This morning we drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. Lunch at our Lodge and relax before departing for the afternoon game run.  The Mara Game Reserve-one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. Large mammals are varied, and easy to see. Residents among the Park are: Masai Giraffe, Buffalo, Eland and thousands of plain game including Impala, Zebra, Topi, both Thomson’s and grants Gazelles. Overnight at PrideInn Mara Lodge or similar.  Meal Plan: Lunch, Dinner, Breakfast

Enjoy an invigorating breakfast and start a full day game drive, with packed lunch provided. The Masai Mara is famous for the abundant wildlife, including the 500 species of birds, and for being the place where you can easily spot the Big Five.  After this immersion in the wild, drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

During your stay you will also have optional opportunities to engage in. These include;

1. A visit to a village of the Masai people to witness the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience.

2.     Balloon safari over the Mara plains

Overnight at Pride Inn Mara Lodge or similar.  Meal Plan: Lunch, Dinner, Breakfast.

Drive time is approx. 5 to 6 hours. This day after your breakfast, you will depart the park for Nairobi. Later, you will be transferred to the airport for your outbound flight.
